T-SHIRT ORDER DEADLINE EXTENDED: SUNDAY, MAY 26 MIDNIGHT

Just a few days left to order WeSTOC XVIII T-Shirts.  There are no plans for additional shirts to be sold at the event or for reprints afterward.

T-Shirts are available in unisex or women’s, short or long sleeve in a variety of colors. The shirt features three ST’s symbolizing the third Canadian WeSTOC, with a tip of the hat to the original ST1100 that inspired the ST Owners Club. Within the crest, similar to the BC Coat of Arms, is an island with a twisty road and lighthouse off in the distance. The illustration is by Chris Parker of RoadWolf Design.

WeSTOC UPDATE

Hotel Rooms:
There are still rooms available. Everyone on the waiting list has been placed in rooms and we have finished room upgrades for those who requested them so far. During this process we had some rooms held so it may have seemed like the hotel was full.

Campground:

Our reservation block at the campground expires on May 24th. Please make sure you have reserved your campsite before that date. There is a high demand for campsites during this time period so they will fill quickly once our block expires. We also have full-service RV campsites available at the group rate.

New Registrations:

For new registrations after March 27th, if you are unable to find accommodations you will be able to cancel for a full refund on your registration.

T-Shirts:

The deadline for ordering T-Shirts is May 24th. All shirts must be pre-ordered and will be delivered at the event.

It won’t be long now. We are really looking forward to seeing everyone!

HOTEL UPDATE

Thank you to everyone who has registered for WeSTOC XVIII thus far.  Your early registration helps us with planning and organizing the event.  The Disorganization Team is really encouraged by the response and it makes us want to work harder to make WeSTOC even better.

The Best Western Premier Prestige Oceanfront Resort is nearly full to capacity.  We are currently doing some room moves for people who have requested upgrades.  Once they are finalized and we hear back from everyone, there will be a few additional rooms available.  So if you contact the hotel and they indicate they are full, you have several options:

1.     Place your name on the waiting list.  There will be a few more rooms for booking after the room moves are complete or some may become available due to cancellations.  Then we will go down the list, in the order in which the requests were made, and place you in a room if it becomes available.  You will also want to reserve an alternate accommodation that does not require advance payment and is refundable, just in case.

2.     Need a roommate?  If you looking to share a room at the hotel, be sure to post it on the forums.

3.     There are still plenty of tent sites available at the Sooke River Campground.

4.     Other accommodations in the Sooke area include:

a.     Sooke Harbour Resort & Marina 1-866-616-3236

Eight 2-bedroom units still available, less than 1 km (.6 mile) from the hotel

b.     Sooke Harbour House 1-800-889-9688

22 luxury rooms still available, 1.9 km (1.2 miles) from the hotel

c.      Point no Point Resort (250) 646-2020

10-12 cabins still available, 23.4 km (14.6 miles) from the hotel

5.     There are many Bed & Breakfasts in Sooke.  The Sooke Bed & Breakfast Association has a directory with detailed listings including description of the property, room types and rates to suit every budget.  You can also compare properties and request a reservation directly on their website.

6.     There are a large number of hotels in Victoria, which is only 35 km (24 miles) away.  Tourism Victoria has an extensive list of accommodations.

Feel free to Contact Us if you are having any difficulty booking your hotel.

We look forward to seeing you in Sooke.
