This will be the third WeSTOC event held in Canada in the last 18 years, and with our beautiful home base in Sooke and all that Vancouver Island has to offer, it’s sure to be one of the most memorable. Whether you are a first-timer or have never missed an event, start making your plans now.

Oceanside Accommodations

Sooke is on the southwest shore of Vancouver Island, and some of the best motorcycle roads in South Vancouver Island pass through the Sooke area. (Yes, we planned it that way!) Our oceanside headquarters has a breathtaking view of the Olympic Mountains and Sooke Harbour and Basin. This picturesque seaside town enjoys a relaxed, casual lifestyle with many of the amenities of city life including award-winning restaurants, galleries and shops. The stunning capital city of Victoria, one of the premier travel destinations in the world, is just 35 km (24 miles) to the east.

Great Rides

Sooke is the gateway to the scenic West Coast Road (Highway 14), which winds along the coast to Port Renfrew. This spectacular ride takes you through coastal rainforest and along the jagged coastline leading to some amazing beaches and ocean viewpoints. Botanical Beach is famous for hundreds of tidal pools rich in marine life. The largest Douglas Fir in the world is in the ancient forest near Port Renfrew.

The Pacific Marine Circle Route then continues north through the mountains along the recently paved road and east towards Lake Cowichan. It then loops down to Duncan, the City of Totems, with more than 80 totem poles displayed along the city streets. Then it's back through Victoria and to the headquarters in Sooke.

There are also many scenic rides through the Victoria area. Victoria is known as the Garden City so a visit to the beautiful Butchart Gardens or nearby Hatley Park and Castle is in order. Victoria's British heritage is evident with double-decker buses, horse-drawn carriages, historical Parliament Buildings and ivy-covered Empress Hotel with its beloved tradition of serving afternoon tea. Explore the oldest lighthouse on the west coast or visit "Mile 0" marker, a popular roadside attraction at the start of the Trans-Canada Highway, the longest national highway in the world.
